Mayhem Reveal 2026-27 Schedule

(MACON, Ga.) – The Macon Mayhem, proud members of the SPHL, have revealed their full schedule for the 2026-27 season.

For the first time in the franchise’s 12-year history, the Mayhem will play 11 different opponents as the league expands to 12 teams with the addition of the Athens Rock Lobsters and Pee Dee IceCats.

The Mayhem will open their season in Athens for the Rock Lobsters’ first-ever SPHL game to kick off the expanded 60-game schedule for the league on Friday, October 16. They’ll then travel to Athens again the following Friday before their home opener on Saturday, October 24 at 6 p.m. against the Birmingham Bulls, the only time they will host Birmingham this season.

Athens comes to Macon for the first time in the rivalry’s history on Sunday, November 22. The 10-game season series (the most of any Mayhem opponent this season) will span from opening night in October, all the way to the final week of the regular season in April as the Mayhem close their schedule at home with two games at home against the Rock Lobsters on April 2 and 3. Both Macon and Athens will host the other five times this season, with the Rock Lobsters in town for both of the Mayhem’s 2027 school-day games.

The other new opponent, the Pee Dee IceCats, will play the Mayhem here in Georgia for the first time on December 17, the first of eight games in the inaugural season-series between the two teams.

For the first time since March of 2024, the Mayhem will make the trip to play the Quad City Storm in Vibrant Arena at The MARK for their final road games of the regular season on March 26 and 27.

The Peoria Rivermen, who ended the Mayhem’s 2026 playoff hopes back in April, are one of only opponents who the Mayhem do not travel to this season as the only three matchups between the teams will be in Macon, on December 4 and 5 and then again on March 21. The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs are the other, as the only matchups this season are in Macon on November 20 and 21. Similarly, the defending champion Evansville Thunderbolts are the only team that the Mayhem do not host this season, with their lone series coming in Indiana on January 22 and 23.

The Mayhem will again host a New Year’s Eve game in 2026, this time against the Huntsville Havoc. The Thursday night contest and the following Saturday, January 2, will be the only two times that the Havoc make the trip to Macon this season.

The Mayhem’s longest road trip of the season will span from October 30 to November 14, with the team playing seven straight games on the road in four different cities (Birmingham, Huntsville, Pensacola, Knoxville).

The road-heavy start to the season is countered by a home-dominated stretch to close the season, as the Mayhem play 11 of their final 17 games in Macon Coliseum beginning on February 19 against the Pee Dee IceCats.
