(MACON, Ga.) – The Macon Mayhem, proud members of the SPHL, announced Tuesday that they are signing defenseman Tyler Drummond for the 2026-27 season.
Drummond, 24, from Baldwin, N.Y., made his professional debut last season, playing four games with the SPHL’s Quad City Storm following a five-year career at the NCAA D-III level.
After spending the first three years of his career at Curry College where he played 48 games, he transferred to UMass-Boston, where he was teammates with Michael Krupinski. In his 39 games for the Beacons, Drummond scored 16 points (1 g, 15 a).
“We wanted to get bigger and heavier on the back end and Tyler checks all those boxes,” said Head Coach Dave Pszenyczny. “We’re looking forward to having him here in Macon.”
Drummond had a +3 rating in his four games with the Storm last season, and will be looking to build on a strong start to his professional career with the Mayhem.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to join the Macon Mayhem,” said Drummond. “After speaking with Coach Pszenyczny, I felt it was a great fit and I’m looking forward to getting to work, competing every day, and helping this team win this season.”
