(MACON, Ga.) – The Macon Mayhem, proud members of the SPHL, announced Saturday that they are signing defenseman Dylan Dreveny for the 2026-27 season.
Dreveny, 24, from Birmingham, Ala., aims to make his professional debut this season after playing the last five years for the University of Alabama’s AAU/ACHA division-I team. In 108 games for the Frozen Tide, Dreveny scored 30 points (13 g, 17 a) and logged 82 penalty minutes.
“Dylan’s a versatile guy that we’re looking forward to seeing compete this season,” said Head Coach Dave Pszenyczny. “Expect to see a hard-working Swiss Army knife when he’s out there.”
Dreveny grew up playing for the Pelham Panthers and Huntsville Jr. Chargers, spending plenty of time in rinks that would be familiar to SPHL fans.
“I am chomping at the bit to begin my professional career, and I am even more excited to kick it off in Macon.,” said Dreveny. “I can’t wait to go to war with a new group of brothers, and get involved in the community. I’m looking forward to getting better every day on and off the ice, and making Macon Coliseum a hard place to play.”
The Mayhem start training camp next week as they prepare for their pre-season exhibition in Athens on October 10! Call the Mayhem office at 478-803-1592 for more information or to purchase tickets for Mayhem home games.
