(MACON, Ga.) – The Macon Mayhem, proud members of the SPHL, announced Thursday that they are signing forward Chris Carroll for the 2026-27 season.
Carroll, 25, from Islip, N.Y., will aim to make his professional debut with the Mayhem this season after a four year career at NCAA D-III Utica University, where he was teammates with multiple SPHL players including Michael Herrera. In Utica, Carroll recorded 22 points (11 g, 11 a) in 44 games for the school.
“We’re excited to see what Carroll can bring to our team,” said Head Coach Dave Pszenyczny. “He’s got a good hockey background and a high compete level. We are definitely looking forward to seeing his game at camp this fall.”
The hockey background mentioned by Pszenyczny includes a NAHL Robertson Cup with the New Jersey Jr. Titans in 2022. After being acquired from the North Iowa Bulls mid-season, he put up 40 points (12 g, 28 a) in 37 games for New Jersey before a playoff run where he scored 11 points (2 g, 9 a) in 13 games en route to a championship.
“I’m super excited to get things started in Macon this fall,” said Carroll. “I’m really looking forward to continuing the momentum the team had last season and taking the next step towards winning a championship.”
