(MACON, Ga.) – The Macon Mayhem, proud members of the SPHL, announced Thursday that they are signing defenseman Nick Dineen for the 2026-27 season.
Dineen, 25, from Raleigh, N.C., made his professional debut last season with the Mayhem following a four-year career at NCAA D-III Stevenson University.
Coach Dave Pszenyczny said, “Nick took huge steps last season when we were depleted with injury and call-ups. He’s a steady defenseman that teams would love to have in their lineup.”
Despite recording just five points in the 50 games he played last season, Dineen progressed rapidly on the defensive side of his game and proved to be a valuable penalty-killer down the stretch for the Mayhem.
“I’m excited to be back in Macon for another season,” said Dineen. “Last year was a great step forward for our group, and making the playoffs only fueled our hunger for more. I’m looking forward to getting back to work with the guys and doing everything we can to bring a championship to Macon.”
