(MACON, Ga.) – The Macon Mayhem, proud members of the SPHL, announced Friday that they have signed forward Alex Cohen for the 2025-26 season.
Cohen, 27, from Newton, Mass., returns to the Mayhem for his third season with the team, and fifth in the SPHL.
Able to score at a torrid pace, Cohen was on pace for a career season with eight points (5 g, 3 a) in just ten games with the Mayhem last season before being called up by the ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears, where he spent the rest of the season.
“We missed Alex’s presence on and off the ice after his call up last season,” said coach Dave Pszenyczny. “He’s a key piece to us building success here in Macon.”
In the 2023-24 season with the Mayhem, Cohen set career highs in all statistical categories, with 18 points (6 g, 12 a) in 46 games.
