Mayhem Bring Kup Back To Macon

Today the Macon Mayhem of the SPHL are proud to announce they have signed Left-handed defenseman Jarret Kup to their training camp roster.

Kup, a 30-year-old defenseman from Rosseau, ONT, returns for his second stint with the Mayhem. Jarret began his pro career in Macon in 2017-18 when he joined the Mayhem for 8 games adding 4 points in his first season here. Kup stuck around for another year and a half playing 96 total games in a Macon uniform with 39 points to his credit before being moved to the Fayetteville Marksmen in 2020. Jarret became a mainstay in Fayetteville playing 127 games with the Marksmen and adding 40 points to his totals. In addition Kup played in all 6 of the Marksmen’s playoff games.

“Jarret is a smart, veteran defensive player that will be a big part of growing this team going forward. As we look to build a winner here in Macon we saw an opportunity to bring a talented defenseman back here and took it.” Coach Nick Niedert said about the signing.
