Macon, GA – The Macon Mayhem are excited to announce the hiring of new Director of Operations, Madison Mercer.
Mercer recently graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management. During her time at Mercer, she held several leadership positions such as Vice President of Chapter Development for Phi Mu, Director of Recruitment for MU Miracle, and Secretary of Order of Omega Honor Society.
Mercer joined the Mayhem January of 2021 as the Community Outreach Intern. During that time she oversaw and scheduled the community events of the Mayhem for the remainder of the season. She helped put the Mayhem in front of Middle Georgia by scheduling our Hometown Tours promotion, where the Mayhem toured the hometowns of our fan base.
Mercer came back the following season as the Operations Intern where she took on the task of writing game day scripts, communicating game day schedules, inventorying merchandise, and running the music and video board during all 2022-23 home games.
“I am so excited to have Madison join the Mayhem staff in a full-time position. She not only completed her tasks as an intern, she excelled in them. We learned quickly she was someone the team could always depend on. It was no brainer we brought her in as our new Director of Operations. I can not wait to see her success in this position as a full-time employee,” commented General Manager, Anna Marie Summers.
